About Us

The Humane Society of Johnson County is located in Franklin, Indiana.

We are a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization that strives to benefit our community by enhancing the companion animal-human bond through adoption, education, and advocacy programs.

Adopt

We work tirelessly to place homeless animals in our community into loving forever homes — their happy 2.0! Through our adoption process, we strive to ensure these animals' next homes are the perfect fit.

Educate

We have very active community outreach programs with schools, youth groups including girl and boy scout troops, local libraries, and businesses. We are working on properly educating the next generation of pet owners on responsible pet ownership through community initiatives.

Advocate

We use our social media platforms to advocate for the animals at our facility who don't have a voice. We are transparent and share our daily routines, needs and asks for our animals and others in the community. We share updates, adoptable animals and any news we have for our followers.
