Practice starts at 3pm. The first race will begin about 3:30pm.
The Low-Down
If your dog is a pure-bred Dachshund, this is the event for them! Each year, we gather the low-riders of Johnson County and find out who's the quickest of them all!

We race in 3 classes:
-
Cocktail Weenies (3 yrs. old and under),
-
Ball Park Franks (4-7 yrs.),
-
and Hot Dogs (8 yrs. &up).
​
Then for one final race, we race the winners of the three classes to crown the fastest Dachshund in Johnson County!
We are all there have a good time! Safety is our number one priority. Therefore:

All dogs must be on a leash before/after the race.

No fighting or biting - any incidents will lead to disqualification, and you'll be asked to leave the event.

Only 2 owners in the race area (one at start and one at finish).

Owners and spectators must practice sportsmanlike conduct.

Please bring your pet's current shot record to the event. Racers must be a pure-bred Dachshund.
