Find A Pet
Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet!
Adopting an animal may be more involved than you realize. Keep in mind that: 1) everything we do is aimed at getting the best permanent home possible for the pet; and, 2) everyone who comes to HSJC to adopt an animal goes through the same process. Our goal at HSJC is to find the best forever home for each pet in our care.

The Humane Society of Johnson County is a foster based organization with a “Shelter Without Walls” foster program.
All of our adoptable pets are currently in foster homes. Our foster parents would love to be able to place their foster pets into wonderful “forever” homes like yours. So if you are ready to add a new member to your family, please attend one of our Adoption Events to meet our adoptable animals.
