Volunteering: A Pawsitive Experience for Everyone!
Our organization could not exist without volunteers. As a private, nonprofit organization, the work our organization accomplishes would not be possible without the generous contributions of our volunteers.
We offer a variety of ways that you can help people and animals. Volunteers are always needed to help with adoptions, foster care and cleaning. In addition, positions are also available in fundraising, education, special events, office/clerical and many other areas.
Whether you have an hour or two a week, or want to spend several days helping out we have something for you!
Do you belong to a group or organization (school, scout troop, church, synagogue, etc.) that needs/wants to complete a service project? Volunteer for a specific project at the HSJC Pet Center or at an HSJC event or collect much needed items from our wish list to help us help the homeless animals of HSJC! For additional information, contact us.
- Fundraisers are planned for several times during the year. Volunteers are always needed to plan and work scheduled events.
- Foster Family Volunteers – individuals who would be willing to take an animal into their home for a limited amount of time until that animal can be placed in a permanent home
- Volunteers to work at offsite PR and Adoption Events.
- We are always looking for people who have particular skills and interests: i.e., photography, drawing, business, arts and crafts, etc. Many times, people can work from their homes doing things. There are often special events or one time projects where these people could be very helpful too.
