Paw Pounder
The 2010 Paw Pounder will be held at Craig Park in Greenwood on Saturday October 23. This annual event draws more then 150 pet owners and their pets to participate in a dog walk around beautiful Craig Park in Greenwood. This major fundraiser is more than just a dog walk. The Paw Pounder includes a blessing of the animals, vendors, food, music and more. Top pledge winners vie for prizes and all the funds raised support the life-saving work of the Humane Society.
Paw Pounder is one of our biggest fundraisers(friend raisers) of the year and really does put the “FUN” in fund raising. Think of it, several hundred people decked out in Paw Pounder Walk t-shirts and their pooches wandering the grounds, visiting vendors, participating in contests, attending the Blessing of the Animals and finally enjoying a 1 ½ mile walk.
Walk with your best four legged friend or grab co-workers, family or friends and form a dog pack. The more money you raise, the more animals you help.

Dachshund Derby
This annual event is sponsored by Heartland Community Bank and Town House Gifts of Franklin. The Race happens on the first Saturday in October as part of the Franklin Fall Festival on the town square. See 2005, 2006 photos in our gallery.
